Our Approach

 

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to addressing behavior excesses and deficits in a variety of contexts and populations. ABA specifically is one of the most effective treatment choice for children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. However, ABA does not stop there…ABA has also been effective in teaching new skills and decreasing challenging behaviors with children who have other diagnoses (e.g., Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), have acquired a traumatic brain injury, have feeding and sleep difficulties, just to name a few.

ABA principles require the systematic assessment and intervention to make socially significant changes in behavior and skills for an individual. 

 

Where do We Provide Services

 
Blue Sky ABA Clinic Services

  • Blue Sky Behavior Therapy, LLC primarily provides services in the clinic setting. Services are generally initiated in the clinic setting and may be provided in an 1:1 setting or a group setting with peers.

Blue Sky ABA Home Services

  • Home-based services are provided to clients as part of the transition process for reduced number of hours. This decision is typically based on client progress on goals and is individualized and is presented as an option to families with BCBA guidance. Parent presence and involvement is key to success with home-based services. In-vivo parent training is heavily emphasized. Ideal setting for generalization of skills.

Blue Sky ABA School Services

  • School-based services are provided in a couple of different ways. Blue Sky Behavior Therapy, LLC can provide school shadow support with the goal of fading services as quickly as possible in order to foster independence in navigating the classroom environment. Support services may be provided in order for the client to be able to access their least restrictive environment, help meet their IEP goals, and most importantly train the teachers in how to best assist the client in the classroom.
