ABA scheduling is different than scheduling for other therapies; where other services may occur once a week for one hour, ABA services are held for several hours each week, depending on your child's needs. At the time of your assessment, your child will be identified as needing intensive (15 - 23 hours a week, appropriate for frequent dangerous behaviors, no communication established), comprehensive (8 - 15 hours a week, developing early communication, social interactions, some challenging behaviors), focused (4-8 hours a week, infrequent challenging behaviors, emphasis on developing social skills, emotional coping, and advanced communication), or targeted (1-4 hours a week, appropriate for clients transitioning out, needing primarily social skill intervention, working on internal behaviors, little to no challenging behavior). Because our clients are seen several hours each week, our providers maintain caseloads of only 10 - 12 clients at any given time. While this means a waitlist for services, it allows us to provide the highest quality ABA based on what's appropriate for each child.
New Clients
The Blue Sky team is here to help with admissions. If you want your child to become a client, please fill out the form below or call (769) 233-7154. We have a waitlist. Before the first appointment, we need your child’s insurance info, a diagnostic assessment, and a doctor’s prescription for ABA services. For insurance clients, we must verify benefits and get prior authorization. We will schedule intake and assessment once authorization is approved. New clients will get intake forms to complete before the first visit.
Insurance
Blue Sky Behavior Therapy is currently accepting clients with insurance or those who are willing to self pay. It is important to know that each insurance plan is unique and benefits and co-pay or co-insurances vary from policy to policy. We ask that you check with your insurance provider will reimburse for ABA services. We will agree to file a claim with these carriers and wait a defined period of time for them to process claims for those patients who have coverage. Blue Sky Behavior Therapy currently collects co-pay/co-insurance payments monthly. At the end of each month, you will receive an invoice by email and/or mail from Blue Sky for the amount due the previous month.
